Dyslexia Pathway
In order to identify dyslexia our team are able to offer a dyslexia identification pathway. This entails us working directly with you - the pupil's school/setting, the pupil and their family to gather information. We will follow an assessment for learning model to form an holistic view of: the pupil’s strengths, the barriers to learning they have experienced over time, strategies used to date to support quality first teaching and intervention, the pupil’s developmental history and progress and attainment data.
To inform identification of dyslexia our work will also involve: observation of the pupil, discussions to gather information from the pupil, the school/setting and the pupil’s family, direct working work with the pupil to complete assessment for learning work including standardised assessment measures, a review of progress and attainment data and a review of strategies used to date.
Following all of this a detailed report will be provided which shares our findings. This also includes recommendations to support the pupil’s future progress. Where appropriate, identification of dyslexia will be agreed and documented.
Unfortunately we are unable to accept individual requests for identification from parents and carers.
